Immigration, online application for seasonal workers is now open

On Friday, April 20 from 8 a.m. employers can submit their applications for hiring third-country nationals for the purpose of subordinate seasonal employment within quota limits established by decree of the President of the Council of Ministers 13.3.2012, published in the Official Gazette

Starting today at 8 a.m., employers can submit their applications in accordance with the provisions of the annual immigration quota decree for seasonal workers, by using the online application procedure available at the following web address: https://nullaostalavoro.interno.it/Ministero/index2.jsp.

The decree of the President of the Council of Ministers 13.3.2012, determining the permitted number of third-country seasonal workers to be admitted to Italy for 2012, was published in the Official Gazette n. 92 – General Series - yesterday.

Employers are required to submit their applications for hiring third-country nationals for the purpose of subordinate seasonal employment no later than 31 December 2011 at 12 p.m.

The established quota of 35,000 units, distributed over the regions and autonomous provinces by decision of the ministry of Labour and Welfare covers non-EU subordinate seasonal workers from: Albania, Algeria, Bangladesh, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Egypt, Republic of the Philippines, Gambia, Ghana, India, Kosovo, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Morocco, Moldova, Montenegro, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Senegal, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Ukraine and Tunisia.

In pursuance of article 2 of the above decree, a further 4,000 third-country nationals residing abroad who have completed education and training in their country of origin under article 23 of legislative decree no. 286 of 25th July 1998, are admitted in advance within the maximum authorised number of third-country nationals eligible to enter the country for the purpose of subordinate seasonal work in 2012.
